The shelters listed below adopt ferrets to loving homes. Most shelter operators operate on an appointment-only basis, so please call ahead, and keep your appointments. Shelters also sell cages, carriers, supplies, and toys. The shelters will have ferrets in many different colors and patterns: silver mitt, black and chocolate sable, albino, badger/blaze, etc. These ferrets are in the shelter system because their owners could not or would not care properly for them.

Shelter ferrets, unlike store ferrets, come with all their vaccinations current, and will always be spayed or neutered. The shelter operator will be familiar with their personalities and can help you find the little friend or two who will fit in your household.
