I would like to announce MaFF's annual Ferret Giving Tree Party to be held on November 29th at Bill and Jackie's home from 12:00PM to 4:00PM. This is our opportunity to give back to shelters who are not as fortunate as we have been this year. We will start the day with a light lunch. Following lunch, we will have a short meeting to wrap up MaFF's activities this year. We will then turn over the event to John, Anna Marie, and Taylor, our Ferret Giving Tree gift coordinators this year.

Many of you may have received an email from John and Anna Marie regarding donations for this year's Ferret Giving Tree. As you may already know, we are looking for Gift Cards and light items like blankets and such, which will help to reduce the mailing costs this year. Last year we spent over $200 in postage to mail out our shelter gifts. Gift cards will allow shelters to purchase shelter supplies as needed during the year or to help pay down some of their vet bills. MaFF's Special Tree this year is dedicated to the group of 14 ferrets surrendered recently. Many of them are older ferrets in need of medical attention, particularly dental hygiene. We will be selling personalized ornaments to hang on their special tree. A $10 donation will put an ornament on their special tree and will be personalized with your ferret (or pet's) name. This tree will reside at Bill and Jackie's home and they will light it each night until January 2nd. Your donation will help with the medical needs necessary for such a large group of "elder" ferrets. Ornaments will be available for purchase here on the MaFF website. If you wish to have the ornament sent to you, rather than hanging it on our special tree, please indicate that at the time of your order. Otherwise, ornaments will be recylcled for next year's event. To add to our luncheon, we would love to have you bring your favorite holiday treat to add to our buffet table.

This event is open to "hoomins" only, so please give your fuzzies a special treat and a hug and tell them you will be at a party for ferrets less fortunate than them. However, there will be a few "guest" ferrets to keep us entertained for the day.
